Availability:
Macintosh: version 1.75 (68K / native PowerPC) available. Distributed as
a "fat binary" application running on all Macintosh models with
sufficient memory and disk space.
Public domain technology files are distributed
together with UNCLE. They are also available
online.
Technology files for UNCLE for commercial
technologies are distributed on the EUROPRACTICE CD-ROM. They are encoded
in BinHex format and encrypted. BinHex 4.0 application necessary to decode the
files is included on the UNCLE distribution disk.
PC (DOS/Windows): UNCLE version 1.75 runs on PC with
Executor2 (Macintosh/MacOS emulator) installed.
Executor2 is a commercial product of
ARDI, emulating
MacOS environment under
DOS,
Windows and
Linux.
UNCLE 1.75 under Executor2®
retains its full functionality.
SUN (SunOS): not available yet.
Possible replacement: MAGIC v6.3 or v6.4, a public domain layout
editor available for SunOS, Linux and DOS environments. MAGIC
tech files for some EUROPRACTICE technologies are available.
